2018 Street Stock Rules

See GENERAL RULES and SAFETY RULES that apply to all classes.
All requirements listed in those sections MUST be met unless an exception is clearly stated.

 1. Acceptable vehicles: All North American OEM full frame cars 1965 to present with a minimum wheelbase of 101".  Wheelbase must measure the same on both sides.  No convertibles, trucks, jeeps, station wagons or sport utilities. Uni-body Frames must have tech approval prior to being legal to race.
 2. Must have full firewall and floorboards in driver’s compartment.  May be “boxed in” with right side floor pan no higher than window opening. 
 3. Rear deck must have no more than 2" rake. (From mid-plate to rear of car, max. deck height is 43".)
 4. Roof raking 2” max.
 5. No sideboards or wings of any kind or size.
 6. Rear spoiler 78" wide X 6 inches of measure material with no more than 3 supports (see illustration for support) and must be attached solid to the rear deck. The spoiler cannot be wider than the deck at the rear. All dimensions will be measured from the deck; tolerance for the hinge only. Maximum spoiler angle will be 90 deg to the deck. If support is used on the rear of the spoiler it must be mounted below the top of the spoiler material a minimum of 1/2 inch to not count as spoiler material.



 7. Body style must be respective to this class and must pass tech inspection approval.
 8. Plastic or rubber nose and tail piece permitted.  One or two piece.
 9. Frames must be OEM appearing -  any alterations must have tech approval.
10. Uni-body frames must have 2’’ x 3’’ square tubing joining front and rear frame sections. The Tech Inspector must approve such modifications and agree that it is safe or the car will not be permitted to race.
11. Wheel-base must be within ½” side to side.
12. No coil-overs permitted.
13. Weight jacks are permitted front and rear.

14. No driver adjustable components.
15. Any coil springs, any shim, or spring spacers are permitted.  Cars must have a minimum of 5 inches ride height from the lowest point of the frame rail.
16. Front A-arms OEM or tubular upper and lower will be permitted.
17. Rear OEM location 4-Link or leaf-spring permitted. Mounts on frame must be in stock location, upper and lower. Leaf-spring frames must have tech approval.
18. Rear trailing arm mounts on axle may have multiple hole adjustments. Mounts must be no more than 6" from the bottom of the axle tube to the bottom of the mount, that includes lower shock mount. (No material 6" below the axle tube.)


19. Adjustable trailing arms are allowed. Lower arms must be the same length on both sides, and upper arms must be the same length on both sides with NO tolerance. Rear springs must be mounted directly on top of the axle tube.
20.  No adjustable shocks, front or rear. (No Schrader valves.) Rear shocks must be mounted behind rear axle.
21. Steering components must remain in OEM location for type of chassis used.
22. OEM steering boxes only.
23. No rack and pinions.
24. Steering quickeners allowed.
25. Engine type must match chassis used. 
26. One OEM Type ignition system only.  No magneto ignition, no dual ignition boxes or coils.
27. Maximum engine size is 406 cubic inches. GM 602 and 604 crate engine will be permitted.
28. Furthest forward spark plug may not be any further set back than the center of the upper ball joint in the front suspension. 
29. No aluminum heads (except sealed GM 604 crate engines).
30. No aluminum blocks.
31. No oil dry sumps.
32. Roller rockers are permitted.  Roller lifters are permitted.
33. Any piston permitted.
34. Two or four barrel carburetors only (750CFM) max.
35. Two or four barrel cast iron or aluminum intake.
36. No more than one inch spacer between carburetor and intake.
37. Headers with a maximum 3-1/2 inch exhaust exiting past driver’s compartment.
38. Transmissions must be OEM type – automatic or standard.  Racing transmissions will be permitted beginning in 2015.
39. Standard must have blow proof /steel bell housing. Except if racing transmission is used (Bert, Brinn, Falcon, etc.
40. Any flywheel.
41. Any clutch permitted.
42. Automatics allowed-must have working torque convertor with steel scatter shield.
43. OEM rears, Ford 9 inch rear, or floaters permitted.
44. Standard 5-bolt; no wide-pattern hubs.
45. Rears must be locked.


46. Cars must start and run under their own power.
47. Cars must have working reverse.
48. Minimum weight will be 2950 lbs. (with driver) after feature. 602 crate may weigh 2800 lbs.
49. Steel 15’’ racing wheels only.  Max width 10’’.
50. Any type of tire, no larger than 1100 series, will be permitted.
51. Bead-locks permitted on all four wheels.

52. Gas only; no alcohol.
53. Must have 4-wheel brakes at all times. No brake shut-offs.
